Ghost Busters 2 is on the comedy central channel right now.

You know what I liked about the Ghostbusters as kind-of superheroes?

They were all geeks. Total geeks with geeky talk and geeky weapons just a general air "not nearly as cool as we ought to be and would be if only we were inherently cooler people."

And as soon as they started talking about their job people would start walking the other direction. They found it hard to get dates. They drove a station wagon. Mulder and Scully they were not.

But they were funny and fun and much more normal-esque.

I caught the part where they're yelling experimentally at the beaker, and Ray talks about how they tried singing to it and saying lovey-dovey things, and Vankman(?) asks if he "slept with it" and they look at Eegon who looks away awkwardly. I laughed. I totally didn't get that reference the last time I saw that scene. Which was probably when I was 13 or 14.
