Watched the end of Pretear. ::yawn:: I saw most of it coming. Actually, I saw about 97% of it coming.
Why? Cause I've already seen, you know, all FIVE seasons of Sailor Moon. And Pretear is just a SM imitation. I can see how you might like it if it's the first magical-girl SM rip-off anime you've seen, but it's old news to me, and not that good even if you ignore the rip-off factor. After so long watching SM, I don't want more SM wannabe stuff. I need my new magical-girl anime to be weird, intelligent, and original. Like Princess Tutu.
Oh, shit! I missed the Kentucky Derby cause I was watching episode 13. ::kicks desk::

I know exactly how you feel. I had the same experience with season three Angel.
I got about halfway through the first volume of Pretear, lost interest real quick.

The ending is not any better-- it's the same as the rest of it. And there isn't one aspect, event, character, theme, or visual device used that I couldn't name a Sailor Moon episode having already done. Multiple times.
