I've been rewatching some episodes of Princess Tutu this weekend, and I noticed in the post-fight scene episode 20.5, during the oh-so-allegorical conversation between Racheal, Fakir, and Tutu, the use of one of my new favorite pieces of classical music: a bit by Chopin that also happens to appear during episode 51 of FMA (at about 9 minute mark through the 11 minute mark, where Stuff happens and if you've seen 51 you know the Stuff I'm talking about.)

I went looking for this music guide for PT to compare and see if the song pieces have the same title, but sadly the guide only goes up to ep 13, meaning no info on episode 20.5. still, I'm certain they're the same.

I did notice something else in examining this guide, though: Almost all the Fakir scenes and the Ahiru/Fakir scenes in episodes 9 through 11 use Chopin . Heee.

I wasn't listening for it before, but now I'm curious. And I wonder if Chopin is one of main Ahiru/Fakir musical themes.

P.S. [livejournal.com profile] hecatehatesthat, when are you going to update your PT fic?!

You're talking about "Tristesse," right? I'm positive they're the same too. I remember getting sad all out of proportion to the scene in PT, because... yeah.

And... soon! I swear! This summer...sometime. I may even work on it today. The person RPing Orihime (nutty girl from Bleach) just refernced it in [livejournal.com profile] campfuckudie and I think I am the only one who got it and now I am feeling all, "the world must have more Princess Tutu!" *shakes fist at heavens*

Actually, it's called something else. I'd tell you, but it's on my comp and I'm on my dad's comp right now, so I can't look it up. I believe it's Waltz Op 34, No. something-or-other. Or possibly Op 28? Something like that. I'll send it to you later. Breaks my damn heart.

Oooh, where? Linky!

I've been reading that RP. I applied this morning for Scieszka. I hope they like me. :)

Orihime thinks she is Ahiru, apprently. Someone should totally RP Ahiru. And Fakir. I just told [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue to do Ahiru. I already applied as someone else, and so did [livejournal.com profile] ladyjessamyn.

I'm so excited you applied as Scieszka! Her alien theories will be so much fun. I hope you get in. Wish I could vote. :(

I would love to see Fakir RPed.

But that may be because then Edward, Shikamaru, and Fakir would all be stuck in a zombie camp together and I admit that's my ultimate cross-fandom slash OT3.
