Early morning Tutu ficcing
Princess Tutu drabble, post-series & spoilery.
---------------
Fakir knelt on the bank of the pond, hands gently releasing the duck onto the damp earth. With a smile he brushed the top of her head once, then stood.
The words they‘d never said hung between them untouched, for the gift of speech was the gift of being human.
Fakir wanted to promise Ahiru he could make her a person again, but he kept silent because he knew she couldn’t say it back.
Ahiru wished to tell Fakir a hundred things, but she’d given up that power, and couldn’t even say the ones she wanted most.
Believe in yourself, you are already a greater writer than most men will ever be.
Thank you for believing in me.
I wanted to dance with you forever.
But mostly she wanted to tell him that she had no regrets. Ahiru gave a delicate chirp, and in a rustle of feathers, turned away from Fakir and stepped into the water.

...Yeah, it's a bit sad. I was in the mood. I wish I could write a happy-ending Tutu fic though. I just don't have one in my headspace right now.

And yes, btw, the fact that I've read this and am responding means I watched the finale. *G* Last night; I haven't formatted my responses yet but it was lovely.

Last night I was talking to my roommate about anime and trying to explain to her what it was I loved about Princess Tutu, but every time I tried to come up with a summary it just sounded confusing or silly. So hard to describe, this series!
And!
Re: And!
I know what you mean about trying to summarize it. I gave up on trying with Dan; everything sounded lame *lol* I will, in the end, probably just buy the first DVD and try to sit him down and have him watch with me.
