WHOOOO-HOOOOOO!!!!!!!! SCORE ONE FOR THE CAMPBELL CITY POLICE DEPT.!

Remember my post about my grandmother and the armed robbery on Martin Luther King day?

Those two bitches are going to court and they'll be tried for a possible fifteen year sentence.

THAT is good news. And ya know, that's just not a crime you can weasel out of in the papers -- these babes are toast unless they plea bargain.

Yep. After all, armed robbery is much, much worse than just burglarly. And as soon as a jury sees how old my grandmother is, those bitches are toast.

So are they getting tried for attempted murder or just burglary?

Either way, 15 years 'aint long enough! :)

She didn't say. I wish it could be attempted murder charge. My dad says he wishes that he could be put in a room with them for five minutes with a baseball bat.

I think it will be an attempted murder charge. Might just be me looking at this from someone used to the British justice system but 15 years seems a bloody long time for just burglary.

And tell your dad I'd be more than happy to help him out! :)

Maybe, but I don't think it's an unusual long time for this kind of charge. Armed burglarly is quite different from unarmed burglarly or breaking & entering, because the use of a weapon (here it was a gun), changes things. Burglarly is a felony (worse than a misdemeanor) crime, and in California law, armed burglarly is a "felony with special circumstances."

Excellent news! Was one of the robbers someone who worked for your Grandma like she suspected?

haven't heard yet. But we think now they were tipped of by the person who worked for her, but that person might not actually have been there. I'm the least informed, right now. But I'm glad that they have them.
