help?

Does anyone know of a way that I could download Dead Like Me directly? In pieces or whole, I don't care.

Have you tried using a different Bittorrent client program? I use the default client, but I know a lot of progressive clients let you fiddle with your upload/download rate, your firewall settings, and such.

do you have any specific suggestions of clients?

I haven't really used anything but the main client, but [livejournal.com profile] beatgeek recommended BitComet to me, and I know some people like BitTornado.

Which ep? I think I have most of them.

Um... most of season 2? I didn't see anything after Rites of Passage, which was episode 7 of season 2... I think I all all of 2.1-2.7, with the exception of Hurry, episode 2.5. I'm really interested in the most recent episode, Last Call, but any you have would be awesome. If it's not trouble for you. :)

There's a subplot that runs through several of the last eps, and it takes away from the impact if you watch them out of order. I can probably upload two or so eps a day until you get caught up.

You are amazing and so cheering me up right now. Thank you. Let me know when you upload them, and I'll let you know as soon as I finish downloading. :)

I am watching #9 right now! George taking Mason to the funeral is cracking me up. Mason & Roxy on the plane really amused me though. #10 didn't come through all the way.

Yeah, yousendit's been buggy all day - kept timing out on me. I'll try again tomorrow. Did you get 2.08?

Yep yep. 2.8 and 2.9.

ack!

[identity profile] rashaka.livejournal.com 2004-11-01 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I watching episode 2.10, and it was near the end, and it just stopped right when Mason had chased after George cause he was worried about her! My ship, my ship! And it stopped at like 38 minutes... ::weeps:: Oh George/Mason you cute, cute widdle angsty reapers.

But I did get 2.11 and 2.12 completely!

I noticed the counter itself stops at 36:52, but keeps chugging on after that. Don't know what's up with the timing on that. Eps 2x11 & 2x12 are in XVID format, however. If you have GSpot, can you check and see if you just need the codec for that? Otherwise, I may have to zip up the files before sending 'em over.

For episode 2.10, The counter on my player (realplayer and winamp) stopped at 33 minutes, and then it went on for another 4 minutes before cutting off.

I checked with Gspot, and it said the 2.12 files have a "corruption in the header" that makes the AVI file unplayable, and that I have the Xvid codecs installed (which I remember installling).

Wow, Yousendit sucks. For now, try Avifixp, and if that doesn't work, I'll zip up the avis and upload to my ftp.

DLM 2x11 as a zip. Since I have a 1/2 gig limit on my site, I can only do this one at a time.

I'm starting downloading now, and it says it will be done in half an hour. When I get back from class 2-2:30ish, I'll check to make sure I've got it, then send you another comment to let you know.

Well, the zip file was "corrupted" each time I tried to download it, but that AviFiXP program you reccomended did help to make 2.11 and 2.12 viewable, though I couldn't get either to play all to the finish. I think my computer just doesn't like some avi files... the mpeg files seem to play fine. So i watched as much as I could get of both of those eps and I'm gonna watch 2.13 next.

Thanks again for all your trying. And if you want anime, I have some. Not bunches, but almost all the eps of Naruto there are.

Just watched episode 2.13. Thank you so much for sending this stuff to me. This was, like, the shippiest episode evaaaar and I am in love with it.

Mmmmn...Mason Mason Mason.

heads up.

[identity profile] rashaka.livejournal.com 2004-11-03 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
crushw_eyeliner was making a copy of all the DLM season 2 eps on DVD and offered to send me a copy. Since she's doing that, you don't have to try to send me any more. But I really do appreciate how much you've sent already-- I'm on a shipper high from 2.13!

So thank you. And seriously, I have all the Naruto episodes except #64. I can get you addicted *snap* like that if you want.

[identity profile] d-irge.livejournal.com 2004-11-04 10:38 am (UTC)(link)
Whew. I'm glad. I was trying to figure out what the hell was up with my uploads.

As for Naruto...hehe...I have 1-30, but haven't watched more than ep 1 because the subtitles are placed so low, they're practically incomprehensible on tv. Looks like I'll have to sit down and watch it on the PC.

Do you have Champloo? I got a hold of 1 & 2, and it's pretty interesting so far.

I've been watching some of the more recent episodes as they come out, and then erasing them. You can get episode 17 here. But I don't have the others anymore. Sorry. I do have really small, crappy versions of Now and Then, Here and Now

2.11 and 2.12 won't play... ::pout:: Bummer.

I suppose you might have to send them again--I do appreciate this and I know it's tiresome to send such large files. Thank you.

poor George!

[identity profile] rashaka.livejournal.com 2004-10-29 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
OOhh... episode 9 was different. I'm feeling all angsty for George right now. And yet, kinda not. This show is odd that way-- no matter what happens, it always sort of chugs along, and everybody keeps on going.
