And for single moments-- probably the ending scene in tTT when Gandalf and the Riders of Rohan stampede down the hillside to the orc army, and the camera pulls back and you see that one shot were Gandalf, glowing & all on the white Shadowfax, army behind him, clashes with the dark army of the orcs. Beautiful scene. Will be my desktop, at some point.
That scene makes me cry. I'm really not sure why it affects me so deeply, but it's something about Gandalf and his white horse leading the Riders. The heroism, contrasted with the futile hopelessness (yet determination) of the prior scene of the battle.
And yes. The ship makes me want to shout from the rooftops. I can't wait, because I know it's going to be splendid. That Beljoxa's Eye quote always makes me laugh.
