Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification! In those terms, then, I see your point. That's certainly not the mold they cast Sam from. Although I do think some of those adjectives may apply to his 2006 persona (much of it being extrapolation at this point), he bristles at the thought of his mother thinking of him as "crass and insensitive." Sam is a kind soul, at least to those he feels deserve it, yet he can also be surprisingly tough when crossed.
