Favorite movie - Tough choice. The Lord Of The Rings. And yes, I'm cheating and claiming all three together, as it was all one book to start of with anyway.
Worst Movie Seen - Dragon Fighter. Watched it on SciFi channel recently. An embarrassment to the meager 2 brain cells I spent paying attention to it.
Last Movie Seen (in theater) - Chicago. Splendid-- everyone should go see it.
Last Movie Seen (on video) - Donnie Darko, as I recorded it from cable.
Most Depressing Movie Seen - A Simple Plan. It all starts small, and snowballs. In a bad way. A very, very bad way.
Funniest Movie Seen - A Fish Called Wanda. "Oh no! It's K-K-Ken coming to k-k-kkill me!"
Most Romantic Movie - Moulin Rouge. Because that was it's entire point-- romanticism.
Movie That Always Makes Me Cry - No movies "always" make me cry. But I've cried twice for Braveheart.
Movie Seen the Most Times - Hm... probably Sleepless In Seattle, or The little Mermaid. Or maybe Get Shorty. I can't quite remember for sure...

Where you crying because of the cruel butchering of British History? Or is it just because te film is kind of sad when he is being tortured at the end?

I wonder what it is with Mel Gibbson and Movies dressed up as history that make the English out to be totally evil! As opposed tomovies who just use stock English villians (why is that? Do you guys think we still out to take over the world with our charming accents and dapper ways?)

I am actually looking forward to Chicago..and I hate most musicals! And Donnie Darko was the best Movie I have seen this year (It only hit Uk screens at the begining of January. I think you have damn good taste!

Oh and I am stealing this quiz/meme! I mention it here because every time I try to credit some one I getBad LJ tag. I am just rubbish like that!

Hey... have you ever seen A Fish Called Wanda, my "funniest movie seen"? The brit gets the girl, in that one!

And just so you know, I was crying for the torture & death scene. Cause it was sad. You could have replaced the "evil opressive English people" with French, or Romans, or Americans-- and I would still have cried. Cause it was sad. And I don't think the movie villified the British people so much as the lords at the time. Even the Scotish lords were villified to an extent. The movie was more about the lower class versus the hierarchy than the Scots versus the English, as it was the lords both countries that did the bad stuff.

The Patriot, I'm afraid, is less excusable. But it also wasn't as good a movie.

Of course I've seen a Fish Called Wanda! Its a John Cleese Movie, and that man is an insititution. Not so found of Firce creatures though!


One my ex-girlfriends is a scotish nationalist, and her chief objection to Braveheart was the way it treated Robert The Bruce. He is a great scotish hero where as William Wallace was (and I quote, but with out her accent) "An educated, but viscous thug who dressed up his rather colourful career of looting as Scottish Nationalism.".

Me I jusr dread an entire generation of Children growing up thing the Scots sacked York (they didn't), that a french princess and Wallace had an affair (she didn't even enter the country until after his death) and Edward Longshanks was evil (ok, they got that bit right! But he was also the first english King to recognise the strategic importance of the Longbow, so we owe that).

Its a good film though, Braveheart!
