My life for the next year

timepiececlockI just got a letter offering me conditional acceptance into the Americorps *NCCC 2007 program.
Barring any undisclosed criminal records or medical/mental health conflicts, I'll be going to Denver, Colorado on January 30th.
HELL YEAH BABY.
...Damn, I have a lot of fanfic to finish in the next two and a half months. And oh my god, I mod like 5 communities (poorly). Frell, that's going to be irksome and sad to let go.
But hey.... AMERICORPS, BABY.
The only downsides to this are that I won't be able to use my brand new car for the first 4 months because of snow, and the fact that I'll probably miss all of the third and final season of Avatar. WEEP WITH ME. But sacrifices must be made to achieve my goals of spending a year living on less than minimum wage helping my fellow Americans. I shall endeavor to think of it as my cold turkey attempt at curing myself of my computer. Possibly I'll write my great American novel while I'm there, too.
The pet rat will have to be a 2008 project. YAY!
