Veronica Mars, anyone?

timepiececlockI'm terribly behind in watching Veronica Mars. I watched the season premier, but that's it so far.
I think I've been avoiding it because last season ended on such a high note for my ship, and I kind of want them to remain that way forever. Also, I didn't care for all of season 2 as much as season 1, and I'm generally afraid of my show angsting at me.
I'm starting to have those thoughts where I want to break up with a show before it breaks my heart. If I never watch another episode of VM, can I be happy knowing that things remained as they were, with everyone I cared about alive and relatively happy?
On the other hand, this plan of breaking up wiht my show before it jumps the shark interferes with the fact that I actually enjoy watching said show.
Maybe I should marathon it in the middle of the season?
