I thought it was a pretty cool idea, that fic... I have her basically developing into a full-blown telepath, and her body-swap thing is only the beginning of her potential. The way I wrote it, she doesn't intend to become that way, it just sort of happens accidentally. When she takes over the minds of a hive of insects in her chuunin exams (see the last two chapters of the fic as posted) she goes into a coma for weeks afterward, and wakes up stronger, able to do much higher level mind-jutsu. Then fast forward a few years, and she invades Sasuke's brain to have a mental battle with Orochimaru who now possesses him. (Naruto is heavily involved in this scheme, as is Jeraiya) She succeeds in squashing Orochimaru mentally and curing Sasuke, but that puts her into another coma state, this time lasting for nearly 2 months. And when she wakes up, she can hear everything, all the thoughts all the time of the entire village and surrounding homesteads. This makes her emotionally and mentally unstable for a while, and she eventually has to train her abilities. It was gonna be really dramatic and cool.
