The Avatar Book Club turned out to be even less fun than the arts & crafts contest.


Sokka: "Piggy had it coming!"


Zuko: "It doesn't matter what Mustache-Boy says, Ethan Frome is a wretched book. Ironic my ass."


Teo: "Doctor Frankenstein's work was a testament to humanity's genius!"


Katara: "I'm just saying. He locked up his insane wife in the attic, he must be a firebender."


Toph: "What? The prince didn't tame the fox because he was hungry!"


Haru: "Katara, I promise that when I said Pride & Prejudice reminded me of you, I wasn't suggesting you have a superiority complex, okay?"


Aang: "I...I just don't understand. The pigs are so mean to the other animals. This is a mean book!"

I know all the books except Toph's. I particularly love Aang's reaction to Animal Farm. XD I wish I had some to contribute but I'll just snicker over these the rest of the day. Sigh - I'm being all "must be reasonable and controlled!" and am waiting until February to start Netflixing season 2. Some days it's like, no big deal... some days it's like heroin withdrawal. :P

Oh, and despite having seen promo materials for this season I had still not as yet seen Zuko with his hair in that style, so I'm very fond of your image down below. VERY fond. Oh yes. Thank you. Sometimes it's very, very, VERY nice to know what I can expect. ^_^ !!

I totally forgot that you are behind on seasons! And... shit, I hope I haven't spoiled you too much.

Why wait until February for season 2? It's all out by now.

Zuko's hair.... ::snert:: The middle of season 2 had my favorite Zuko hair style, short and spiky. comic for season 2, only really for Zuko's hair and costume. The pairing joke is completely baseless too, but pretty funny.

Near the end of season 2 it reached this really awkward middle stage where it was too long to be short but too short to be long. Now it's moved past that into a more flattering length, though it wouldn't hurt him to comb it or something.

Nah, I don't consider myself spoiled by anything you've said. Minor plot developments/character development? Nothin' much. I'm only really avoiding actual major plot points and such. Also, I know who Toph is (because everyone loves her so *lol*) and hearing names of other characters is no big spoiler at all. Plus I had a phone conversation with octopedingenue about my theories on Zuko's character (as well as everyone else's) and she made little "hmm" noises of noncommital musings which made me think I was at least partially on the right track. *g*

I'm waiting for February for season two because if I go too quickly (the way I want to do) it will all be OVER. I'm either prolonging my enjoyment or else I'm torturing myself; not sure which. *lol* I also don't want to go too quickly because I won't want to wait for season three, and only two discs of that are out so far (seeing as it's still airing and all) and Netflix is the ONLY way I can see it.... so the longer I put it off the better the chances of me getting to see more of season three! See...? Yeah, it's mostly just torturing myself.

I love that this series has characters changing their outfits and hairstyles/lengths. That's so unusual for a series that I find it really impressive. Also that comic is REALLY well-drawn. Thanks :D
