Big fan here, when it comes to film scores

Browsing my music collection of Danny Elfman, and did you know? He wrote the opening tune for The Simpsons. !!! I can never be less than impressed with his music. It's either funny and entertaining or creepy and disturbing or sweepingly beautiful.

edit: and Tales From the Crypt! How does he not have an Oscar yet? HOW? He ought to have gotten one for something.

I just saw Meet the Robinsons, and he did the soundtrack for that one too, which was one of those oh-that-makes-perfect-sense as soon as I saw his name scroll by. The movie was amazingly adorable as well.

Elfman's pretty much second to John Williams in my scorephile books--he does almost all of Tim Burton's scores. But he gets extra points because he sings (Jack from Nightmare Before Xmas).
