Doctor Who?
May. 6th, 2008 01:41 amSo, I am way behind on my Whovian fangirlism. I still haven't seen the Xmas special, and the only thing I know about season 4 is The Big R Casting Spoiler.
That's what I wanted to ask you lovely folk about.
The episodes with the Big R Casting Spoiler... have they happened yet? Is there one, or is it a two-parter? I think I'm waiting for those and then will marathon the show, or something.
I don't know what I'm waiting for. I think I'm just nervous that it won't go the way it went in my head.
... I'm pretty sure it won't because my head is a very, very 10/R shippy place and I am damn sure that my mental canon ending would not make for an exciting episode plot, no matter how deliriously happy it would make me.
I'm scared it would ruin the open-ended-ness of season 2's finale. I don't *want* to know "how it ends" if knowing ruins my chances of imagining something better. I like open endings, particularly open TRAGIC endings, where you can imagine the tragedy away.
Anyway, a general heads-up on where the show is right now would be appreciated. And if anyone says, "Rashaka, just don't go there and don't watch," know that I probably WILL take you seriously, so mean it if you.

Date: 2008-05-06 12:06 pm (UTC)The relationship between the Doctor and Donna has been done really well. They have a very siblings like dynamic, so my Ten/Rose side hasn't been worried at all.

I am pretty sure I could probably make myself sick worrying about the many, many ways in which this could be a Bad Thing. I'm trying to be hopeful about it, though. Sigh.

I think I'm going to wait. Between the possibilities of this and all the mess that is ATLA fandom at the moment, my brain's twisted when it comes to tv fandom. I really need the Sarah Connor Chronicles to start again, or something.
I guess I could also catch up on Battlestar Galactica's new season... there's something very freeing about loyally watching a show you don't actually care about... you can rip on it to your heart's delight, and you don't have to worry about people ruining it for you because no matter what happens you can always be sure someone else would have done it better, no surprise.
