Hey flist....

What is this show, and why do you love it? Is it made of frosted awesomecakes or just a kind of stale oatmeal cookie substance?

I tried to watch the pilot episode a couple of times. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I didn't find any of it particularly funny. Even on a quirky, weird level.

It's not exactly for everyone -- the production levels on the level of Hercules or Xena and there's a certain amount of geekery involved. Try the first three episodes; if you don't like it then, then you'll probably never like it.

Fastpaced dialogue, feminist undercurrents and characterization of women that treats them like human beings, zany humor. I LOVED the first ep, was amused but not overwhelmed by the next two, and then TOTALLY LOVED ep 4 which just aired. Lovedlovedloved. Wendy Watson is, imo, a really well written and acted woman, and I think she's awesome.

On the Bad side: low production values, and an environmentally conscious character that was portrayed in a really irritating, caricature-ish way in one ep.
