I've blasted through two seasons of HIMYM in about four days. I like it quite a bit; I don't like most sitcoms and the only current shows that hold my interest are The Office and Scrubs, though I am two seasons behind in watching those. But I'm definitely adding HIMYM to the list; it's funny and sweet and I love NPH.

I am glad we're finally over with the two-season long mistake of one couple (took long enough) and have had some resolution with the other couple. Now it seems like the "future" will be a little more open, instead of the show trying to make us invested in a relationship that's telegraphed to end from episode 1. I did get invested in the characters overall, but I was so bored to tears with the yes/no/we-want-different-things babble. Now that's over.

I'm going to enjoy season 3, I'm told, and I'll probably post about it again when I'm done watching.

YAY! And the best part? NPH will be in the Dr. Horrible panel, I can't wait O_O

I know what you mean about that couple, it was just so lame and boring that all I could think about was "break uuuuup already." If it turns out she's the mother (and that's a BIIIIG if), I'll snap and kill someone.

I'm so glad I got you to watch it =)

Oh, just you wait until Season 3 -- they have some great moments there. HIMYM is one show I will not miss and almost always insist upon watching live.

I'm pretty sure the first episode ended with "And that's how I met your Aunt Robin!" which has sustained me through 2 seasons of boringness. Not that I dislike either character, I just like them both better with other members of the cast. I don't think they have much chemistry, or much in common emotionally.

Run, Irrel, run! And tell me what you thought of episode 6! And oh, you're going to love 9 and 10, too... hell, all of season 1.

Barney doing the wedding at the end of season 2 was so cute. I love how he is so anti-cpuple and anti-marriage but he gets sparkly-eyed for babies and championed Lily and Marshall's marriage. I think he needs them to be the exception that proves the rule.

I'm pretty sure the first episode ended with "And that's how I met your Aunt Robin!" I know, but never underestimate writers that are trying to 'surprise' you the wrong way...

Not that I dislike either character, I just like them both better with other members of the cast. WORD.

I just finished watching episode 6! (I took my time...) I'll go comment on your reaction post from 3 years ago now.
