Thanks. All you really need to know about Highlander is that if a pre-immortal person (always a foundling) dies a violent death it can trigger their immortality, after which they never age and survive anything that doesn't cut their head off or completely destroy their body.
The bit where Billy opens the door to find her there is really just very... true to the way the writing in the series sounded.
Good to know. I kind of wanted it to mimic the Act I scene in the alley, in a way. Plus, I think Billy has a difficult time believing in what's in front of him and taking it at face value, even if its a good thing.
I loved this line: "He'd always been skittish, but now Penny wondered if he'd vanish if she spoke too loudly or moved too fast."
You know, it's funny, all through this fic I give horse-like descriptives to Billy, such as skittish or bolt. It wasn't even intentional, just something I noticed later. I also think he has a long-term case of PTSD.
