There's a new chapter of Half Gifts, and a new chapter of Redeeming Spike's Ass!

Also great, Isabel Ortiz started a new fic Show and Tell, an AU season seven that sequel to her fantastic post-Showtime/Potential fics Carpe Noctem and Epiphanies.

This is the day for good Buffy fic. :D

I started reading Half Gifts, but it seems to me that it's a sequel to something else. I can't find that something else. Can someone point me in the right direction, please? I feel like I missed out....

Of the whole fic, there's no sequel, trust me. It just kind of dumps you in the middle of the AU story, one in which Spike became human over the summer, instead of just souled, and he went to Giles' place in England. In a later chapter there's a flashback that explains a lot of how Buffy got there. Just go with the flow; you'll figure out mroe of the backstory as you read. And it is a lovely read, just gorgeous prose.

Now I get it. I made my way back to chapter one several hours ago, read the first two chapters and went HUH? Then started looking for the pre-quel. Thanks for clearning that up!

BTW, the links you gave in today's entry for Half Gifts and Redeming Spike's Ass are the same, I'm not sure that's intentional.... If it is, just don't mind me :-)
