Favourite Characters in…
Shakespeare?
hm... tricksy question. Haven't read all. I'd have to say Puck (MSN'sD), Hotspur (Henry IV), Mercutio (R&J), and Portia (MoV)
Buffy?
Spike. Anya. Buffy. Giles.
Alias
Like Sid a lot. But also like Sloan, just because he's so horrible.
The West Wing
Josh. And Donna. Donna and Josh! Leo. Charlie. The new writer guy.
Austin/Hardy or Bronte (pick any of ‘em)
Mr. Darcy. (not a Bronte fan)
The Ancient Greek Pantheon
Athena. Cause dude-- goddess of battle, wisdom, and the arts & crafts? My kind of lady.
The Norse Pantheon.
Don't know many--- Odin, I suppose. Or can I say the giant snake?
Farscape
John, because he's become so wonderfully complicated. Harvey. Aeryn.
Historical Fiction (books)
Horror (books)
Blain the Pain, from The Waste Lands.
Science Fiction (books)
Ender Wiggin. As if you had to ask.
Fantasy Fiction (books)
mrthursday said Smaug, and I'm tempted to agree. But actually, my real favorite is porbably Egwene, from the Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan. Her, and her entire clan of but-kicking politically-manipulative sorceresses.
Favourite character who happens to be...
A Vampire?
Spike. And then, Drusilla. And vamp!Andrew from season 4.
A secret Organisation (or a member of said Organisation)?
The Illuminati, from Gargoyles
A Spy?
Sydney Bristoe
A Ruler?
Does John Stweart of The Daily Show count? He rules my sarcastic lil cynic heart... really, I don't know.

Date: 2003-03-05 01:25 am (UTC)The Illuminati are in Gargoyles! Are they evil? Are they?
Sorry Illuminati spotting in pop culture is a hobby of mine. I collect references to secret organisations, and thanks to Mr Anton Wilson, the Illuminati are the Grand daddy of them all!
Re:
Date: 2003-03-05 01:34 am (UTC)Yeah, they're kinda evil. But mostly, they're just very self-involved. They manipulate to serve their own, unexplained agenda.
Re:

Date: 2003-03-05 08:51 am (UTC)They where a historical society of knights sworn to protect christian pilgrims in the holy lands. They grew from a a monastic order of fighting men into a powerful economic and social force, able to levy there own taxes. They paved the way for modern banking and chequing acounts (you could for example, if taking a trip to Jersalem, give all your money to the Templars in England, who would give you a credit note. When you got there, you could then exchange the credit note for the money...)
Eventually they where destroyed by a greedy french king and the pope who both desired the Templar's vast wealth. They excuted most of them on trumped up (and still much debated by historians) charges of hersey.
Rumour has it the order survived, some say the Masons are an off shoot. Some say they discovered america! Some thing they helped the Scottish win the battle of Banackburn. Who knows?
Theres loads of good books on them, and even more very bad (but really amusing) consipracy theory type books about them!
