Queen Latifah was big, black, and sexy as hell. Congrats on her for getting the part and making it so much her own. I really hope she wins. Her gold costume was to die for.
I would love to agree -- but as an owner of the film's soundtrack, I have had my ears permanently damaged by her rap version of "Cell Block Tango (He Had It Coming)". It's bad. Really bad. With Macy Gray's voice grating at my ears...eeeuch.
Anyway. That's why my vote's for Catherine, by proxy as well as for talent. Because, as you said, she has all that jazz.
