::stomps loudly back into bedroom from livingroom TV::

F.U.C.K.I.N.G. H.E.L.L!

ACCURSED DREN!

CHEAPSCATE NO GOOD SONS OF BITCHES!

::deep breath::

On the plus side, they weren't killed, they were "neutralized for analysis." Which could mean, you know... they'll be put back together again. Maybe. And, and... the ep was filmed before they realized it was cancelled, so it's doubtful they were dead...

::cries::

But I want to fucking shoot the bastards at SF anyway, because, because shit! I mean, they didn't even give us anything alien to build fanfic on! No names, no story, no purpose, no hints of future, NOTHING! How am I going to find an epic fanfic now that solves all the problems?!

And what the bloody FUCK is up with giving us wonderful loyal fans that...that.... romanticsweetOMGmushymomentTHAT, and then doing THAT!?!??!!

If Joss does this on Buffy, I'll, I'll.... break down and sob like a baby. There's no way I'd be able to handle this happening to two obsession 'ships at once.

Edited to Add: Come to think of it, why DID they put in the last 2 minutes? What's the frelling POINT?! I mean, if they had cut it off by TWO fucking MINUTES, it would have been a beatuiful, exciting, action-packed, emotionally satisfying series finale. It would have been FUCKING PERFECT. But no. The sadists had to add the last two minutes instead of leaving it on the cutting room floor. And now were're all so screwed over.

I've never watched Farscape, but I do know someone who LOVES this show more than Buffy and was spoiled. She was so devastated by this. I hope Joss doesn't do this to us. ::crosses fingers::

devastated is a good word. Me and [livejournal.com profile] spiekspiegal, we're devastated. It's like, they could cut out the last minute and a half, and I'd have been completely, utterly statisfied.

I saw it a few weeks back, I was wondering when US TV was going to get round to showing it... I don't watch Farscape but my friend made me watch the last ten minutes because "it's the ending you would kill for if it was Spuffy". I was hugely puzzled as to why the producers didn't cut the last few minutes, or at very least the To Be Continued.

That's my big question too. I mean, the acutal filming for this had already been done when they got the cencellation notice, but they continued to re-cut and edit the final episodes befoe they aired. So they should have just cut off the ending here, and leave us with fairly solid resolution. Instead, it comes off like they were just being spiteful to the audience.

Not so much to the audience, more like they were sticking it to the network that cancelled them. I've heard the production company is already planning a movie that would presumably pick up where the series left off.

mm-m-movie?!???

You're not... you're not pulling my chain here, are you?

Yeah, I can see that. I was surprised by the fact that, with the exception of the end, it really was a very satifying episode to be made into a finale. It resolved the plot arc with Earth, resolved the main character relationship, gave some inconclusive but still satisfying resolution to the other relationships like C/D and Sis/Scorp. And pilot got to do cool things, and the astronaut got to walk on the moon. ::sappy smile for childhood dreams achieved:: Also, there's love, marriage, and a baby for the main couple-- and unlike some shows I was happy, and didn't see this as being anti-feminist by saying that the woman is only happy if she has marriage & baby, because it was as much a thing that John wanted as Aeryn, and really I feel like these two deserve somethign that happy & wonderful in their lives after all their suffering & trials.

Anyway, I guess as a fan this actually worked- I was in a daze of happiness right up until the end, especially since I expected them to leave off with everyone sitting outside the wormhole waiting for the Scarrens to arrive. But the end really annoyed me.

But... a movie? That... that would fix everything. Even if it totally sucked, I'd be happy.

Well, according to the website, we aren't.

And will you hate me if I admit I watched the finale (I've seen enough episodes to know who everybody is, but I've never watched reguarly) and laughed hysterically at the ending? Because I was like "OH! MY! GOD! After this? They are SO SO SO SO DEAD!" (And I didn't mean John and Aeryn.)

Nah, I wouldn't hate you! Actually, the way they kissed and fluttered down and dissolved was kinf of romantic. Infuriating, but romantic.

from the link:

The Jim Henson Company is in active development on a new Farscape film, an anime project and is currently discussing syndication of this highly acclaimed series.

::jumps up and down:: Yay, possible movie!
Also- Farscape as anime? Or just, anime from the same company? Either way-- SO COOL! Love anime.
