I was named after this song, believe it or not.

What's amazing is that I actually like the song, so I don't resent it. Though its kind of a sad song word-wise, so... nevermind. I'm over-analyzing. I guess my parents just liked it.

'Sara'
Starship

go now don't look back we've drawn the line
move on it's no good to go back in time

I'll never find another girl like you, for happy endings it takes two
we're fire and ice, the dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time for goodbyes

danger, in the game when the stakes are high
branded, my heart was branded while my senses stood by

I'll never find another girl like you, for happy endings it takes two
we're fire and ice, the dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time oh
Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time for goodbyes

('cause Sara) loved me, like no one ever loved me before
(and Sara) hurt me, no one could ever hurt me more
(and Sara) Sara
(and Sara) nobody loved me anymore

I'll never find another girl like you
we're fire and ice, the dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, no time is a good time oh

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time for goodbyes

Sara, Sara, storms are brewing in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time, no
oh Sara, why did it, why did it, why did it all fall apart

sitting in the computer lab at my new college.

hate these computers... they might look nice, all shiny and black-- but keyboard sucks. have to pound into each damn key to make it work.

second day of school in the Adult World. My only class this morning ended at 11:20, and my next one doesn't start until 3:30pm.

basically killing time here until then, cause I can't waste gas to come home for three hours.

So far Statistics looks bleghghghhhhh...especially every day. weightlifting & strengthbuilding looks more interesting--that one's tomorrow. Today and thursday are sociology-- Social Problems. I hope that's interesting. I'm still on the waiting list for English 2. Heh. At least I didn't have to take English 1--- thank god for A.P. last year.

headphones are a wonder... The offspring want me to tell you that you've gotta keep 'em separated!

ugh... that guy down the row's giving me a funny look. What, you've never seen someone with a portable cd player? You've been out of high school too long, buddy! And at least I'm not playing The Sims.

ahh... new song. Eve 6, 'The Promise'. I love this song... also love the Spike vid to it at bandofbuggered.com.

I can't wait until the Buffy premier tonight! I accidentally recorded over the begining of the musical last night when I was taping this anime off a cable channel... luckily it only overlapped the beginning... stopped right before Xander & Anya's song--which, watching agAIN this morning, was still adorable as all get out. Though not as mushy as Buffy & Spike, of course.

EEEEEE!!! God I'm so hyper now! It's TONIGHT! TONIGHT TONIGHT TONIGHT! If I wasn't surrounded by a room full of serious-looking people older than me, I'd start cackling aloud and jumping up and down.

I'll just settle for this mississippi-size grin intstead.

I decided to put a pic up of my actual self once in a while... the whole picture actually looks better than this cropped version of just my face, but alas I must settle for 100x100 only. Oh well... it still shows my nice vampire-enticing neck. Though it doesn't seem like there's many vamps in the computer lab. No Spike's, at least. Or that many cute guys, actually.

I so need a job.

oh my god. Got this off herself_nyc 's last entry.

I haven't even finished reading it and I don't know where its going yet, but its already so damn awesome I couldn't reccomend it more. It's ...SPIKE, in all his messy and semi-glorious imperfection.

Go here: http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=stakebait&itemid=27730&view=145746#t145746 . Now.

Are you listening? I said GET TO IT!

Quote:

Spike: "I’d love to blame the soul for it – I do, mostly, which is the lying thing again. I haven’t lied this much since I was human."

Am buffyless. Am the last person on livejournal to see Buffy. Must wait till morning, sadly. Sleep is more important-- I would stay up but then I'd fall asleep in statistics tomorrow cause its a morning class, and that would suck in a major embarrassing way. So I'll watch it while I make breakfast tomorrow.

I did end up watching 'Haunted' though. I liked it, for the most part. The actor was hot, in that wow-he-ought-to-be-depressed-but-he-still-pulls-off-the-'cute'-thing way.

Visually, it was fairly darkly filmed, with lots of gray and brown. Reminded me of the early X-Files epsiodes in that way. Rather bleak. This wasn't as captivating and engrossing as the early X-Files seasons were, but it kicked off to a good start. The plot was interesting and well-paced, and the quality of directing above most tv-series. THe psychic/ghosty stuff was eerie but not over-the-top, and was both predictable and surprising in places. A very good script, with realistic characters and a believable protagonist that the audience could sympathize with. And I can see there's going to be lots of sympathy needed.

That's the only thing I could find if-y about this show, actually. While the scary-elements were good, and certainly very creepy (the awful man he killed who haunts him---gross!scary!), the back story is the loss of the guy's son, and I just KNOW it's going to bring oodles of pain later. I just hope the show doesn't get lost in its own sadness.

Still, it showed a nice supporting cast, for this episode at least. I liked the blind man in the park, and the cop. And I liked his ex-wife too, who was nicely developed against stereotype-- as someone who still cares about him and tries to be his friend, to help him out. There's not bitterness between them, only lingering sadness. I find it rather refreshing as most divorced couples on tv are always viscious and cold with one another.

'Haunted' episode 1: B++

Typed in my name. These are the only anagrams that made sense:

raise war!

arise raw

raw as ire

swear air!

With my middle name: (there were too many to look at)

linear raw sin!

serial war inn

learn raw is in!

earn lawn iris!

I liked 'linear raw sin' myself. ^__-
