[You are: -The Perfect Drug- You are madly in love with someone right now, or at least you want to be. You feel like you are out of control with your emotions. It's not such a bad feeling, is it? ;) ]

In an interview, David Duchovney said this about Mulder's relationship with Scully: "She's his human credential."

I was just thinking.... in seasons past, I've always thought Spike's "human credential" --his claim to being worth more than a monster-- was his ability to love unconditionally. But according to Buffy, the scoobs, and Angel, a soul is the requisite "human credential." But I wonder now... now that he has a soul, will this new man that he's become be able to love unconditionally, like he did as a demon? And if he's different now, could he have lost his "human credential", or maybe traded up for a better one? As far as worthiness/purity goes, is a human soul --which we all no is not guaranteed to be good-- actaully better tahn unconditional love? Or does he now retain both?

..Or maybe Spike's "human credential" wasn't about loving Buffy at all... but Dawn. Before the ressurection, his relationship with Dawn was....pure. He loved & protected her, expecting nothing in return. And she gave him her complete, trust-- her utter faith in him, that he would do anythign for her safety and trust. Maybe that innocent relationship--not based on sex at all but on a familial and platonic love, was his "human credential".

If that was the case, he's lost it now. It's sad... the one thing he had that wasn't All!About!Buffy, and he lost it through neglect and then, through his All!About!Buffy problems (Seeing Red, which indirectly cost him Buffy's sister as well).

hm.... strange thoughts...

Maybe guilt is his human credential... but that's Angel's forum, right? I think for Spike its something more internal/emotional.

Which Hellsing character are you?

I'm dying to get into this series... if only I could find the episodes... Everything I've heard about it makes it look completely awesome. I want to watch it just so I can write a cross-over with Buffy about it. And from what I've gathered about it so far, so I can only imagine what would come from Spike interacting with the characters... especially Arucard, who's like an bad version of Angel--a vampire who fights for humans, but is downright evil and scary about it. And it's set in London. ::shiver:: Oh it's going to be so cool....

Ok now, I'm off to go get pizza, then gonna come back and watch Firefly, which is being taped right now. I'm getting more thrilled with it as time goes by, and less thrilled with Joh Doe.

To pass your time...

This is a short fanfic I created a little over a month ago. It's probably my second-favorite of my own Buffy stuff, behind 'One Minute...' Hm... Looking at my profile page; I have 69 fanfics on ff.net. Wow. Doesn't feel like I wrote that many. Hn.

I figured I'd put this up for all my LJ friends to have a gander at.

....And mostly because I needed to test out some of the LJ options, like hiding parts of posts. ::sheepish wink::

Read here, and don't worry to much about the lack of indents, cause they're a little messed up, and I don't know how to do them in html: Aquarius )

Grossest movie moment ever: Black Hawk Down, Josh Hartnett's character digging into the hole in his comerade's thigh and holding the man's gushing arteries together with his fingers while the medic tries to clamp it down and sew it.

Scariest movie moment ever: The old psychic woman's face appearing through the closet door to the huddled children in The Others.

Most horrifying movie moment ever: A Simple Plan, the shoot-out at the end, with the housewife getting shotgunned in the stomach, and everything already snowballed in the movie spiralling down even deeper into the final level of Hell someone's life can possibly encompass.
((runner-up: the entire film Deliverance))

Saddest movie moment ever: Saving Private Ryan, when the mother/housewife watches down the road as a black car approaches down her drive, and the chapman/priest and the military liason step out of the car, and she collapses silently onto her porch at the sight of them.

Strongest movie disaster sequence ever: Titanic, the sinking.

And lastly....

Funniest & strangest unimportant death in a movie ever: Titanic, the Propeller Guy.

I loved this conversation on tonight's Firefly. It was hilarious.

///////////////////

Shepard: If you take sexual advantage of her, you'll burn in a very special level of hell. A level reserved for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

Mal: Wha--? --I am not--hhg-- .... Preacher you got a smutty mind.

Shepard: Perhaps I spoke out of turn.

Mal: Maybe haps I'm thinkin.

Shepard: I apologize. I'll make her up a room in the passenger dorms.

Mal: Good.

...

Shepard: The special hell.

This ep was MUCH better than the previous two. And I adore the whole Inara/Mal UST. I loved it whe she kiised him! And then called his unconscious self "You stupid son of a..." before passing out too. She's clearly in love with him... and he seems to have some affection/attachment to her, but obviously hasn't thought of it much or bothered to dissect the feeling yet.

And once again, I am left wallowing in self pity that I don't have her amazing wardrobe.

I really liked Wash in this too... He's becoming one of my favorite characters.

And Jayne, too. Though I don't so much like Jayne's personality as find him extremely amusing.
