Anna S.'s Season Noir has been updated! But, damn it, have to go to school this morning before I can read it!

I got Atlas Shrugged when I traded in my old books yesterday, because someone who's opinion on these things is of interest to me said it was their favorite book ever, and I've read one chapter so far. I like it. I like the style. I'm intrigued. I was afraid it was gonna be over-long and boring, but so far its not boring at all. I'll be definitely reading it more intensely in the next weeks.

Legolas!
Which Lord of the Rings Character do you fancy?

brought to you by Quizilla

I kept trying to get Strider/Aragorn, but he wasn't on there!!!

How could they have Gimli, and not ARAGORN?! He's SO hot (well, so is Legolas), and the guy they cast (VM) was perfect-- I had worried they were gonna have the wrong person.

I downloaded the full-screen version of the new theatrical trailer. It was awesome

I have had this profound urge lately to say "erkle!" to everything. As a curse word, mostly. Although, it's completley inoffensive (thus negating its cursing potency) and what's more it doesn't actually MEAN anything. Except it does sort of remind me of this older sitcom from when I was in like 4th grade, about the geeky kid next door who was always called that. But really, that's not why I say or what I think about when I say it. It's simply a strange compulsion to go around saying it to everything.

And I don't know where its coming from. I'm tempted to slip back into my x-phile days of fandom and blame it on subliminal messages from the aliens that are slowly leaking outinto my daily vocabulary.

Erkle. ERKLE! See?!

Fahrenheit 451

"There must be something in books, things we can't imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house; there must be something there. You don't stay for nothing."

Am axiously awaiting Buffy.

Have decided that TR is, indeed, favorite S/B kiss. OMwF maybe have been more romantic' (damned if it wasn't!), but still think TR was the hottest.

Am getting a B in Statistics. THough was getting a C, so this is good news to be followed by much Buffy-overdosing in celebration.

Think crazy-Spike is adorable, but had a sudden longing for confident, direct, self-assured Spike of seasons past. Confidence is sexy, and his was fucking sexy.

Am now able to do the still-typing-while-standing-up-and-stepping-away-from-keyboard thing.

Pause for question from paternal unit re: argument witnessed of two months ago between aunt and grandmother in hotel room on other side of continent.

Am wondering why aunt has called to complain over her "vicitmization" in an argument two months ago in hotel room on other side of continent about nimrod things that occured twenty years ago. "Get get get get over it."

Am glad do not have serious baggage, and have promised daddy-person that will shed all remaining baggage over childhood soon so that twenty years from now am not getting into nimrod arguments over nimrod occurences no one else in extended family cares about because they happened twenty years before.

Anyway, it was aome inarticulate noise that keeps wanting to leap out of mouth at first sign that annoyance is pending.

Am studiously avoiding anyone else's LJ so as not to spoil self for Buffy. Have finished recording Buffy and am now recording 24, and, as such, am not watching Buffy. But want to, v. v. badly.

Instead of watching Buffy, watched Bridget Jones's Diary for the first time. Was happy to see that for once "the bumbler" --one's mother's way of choice for discussing actor H.G.-- did not get the girl. Instead, the girl, got this charming, sweet man who's a decent lawyer, a hot kisser, and fun in the kitchen, who fancies her just the way she is. :)

Absolutely adorable movie. Loved it, and expect to continue writng LJ in this cute, yet probably irritating manner (sans first person pronouns) for, oh.... the next day or three.

Had stew for dinner w/ movie. Was not blue (::giggle::) but was v. g., because is always v. g. when made by mother. Love winter food. Lots of soups, and stews, and pots of chili. The best chili: made with stew meat-- not hamburger-- and served over white rice. People who enjoy g. food eat chili over rice... have eaten chili over rice snce childhood, and would have it no other way.

Have never met anyone else who eats chili over rice, but cannot see the reason behind this lacking. Only know that the mother does it, and the mother picked it up from the step-grandfather (who have not met, as passed away before born), and no idea in all the world where it might have come from before that. But if you've never tried it, do so.

Desperately wanting to watch Buffy.
Have immersed self in swath of B/S fluff fic as distraction.
Already read Season Noir update, but am considering re-reading previous chapter, for the following smut scene, which is probably one of the hottest have read since started w/ Spuffy ficdom in the first place:

Love love love Season Noir. Wish Season Noir was actual season 8.

Want to watch Conversations somethin' fierce.
