Dec. 21st, 2002 03:33 pmI love my brother, but I fucking hate being around him.
me + him = hellish arguments about everything
He's so rude. And inconsiderate. Talking to him most of the time is a chore, because he asks you a question, but if you andwer he argues with you, and uses it as chance to let himself be heard. Then if you ask him about something-- a same or different topic, he completely ignores you, or brushes you off, or starts talking to you about something ELSE as if you'd never spoken at all. And when he finally does let you talk, when he replies he puts words into your mouth, changing what you said so that it more easily fits into something he can argue against.
I was sad when he moved away, but I'm also glad he doesn't live here anymore, because all he ever does is make me upset. It's been that way since I learned to talk.
And he says he wants to get married some day, but honestly I don't see how he could get any woman to marry him. He's 20 and he's neve even had a steady girlfriend, and I think its because of his attitude, towards people, towards girls, towards everyone who isn't him.
And because I'm stubborn and I care-- about him, about myself, and about my opinions-- its very easy for him get me upset.
I've never had the kind of arguments that I have with my brother with anyone else, and sometimes I swear I want to give up hope that he'll ever behave liike an adult when communicating with people at all.
When I was six my mom told me "Dont' worry Sara, Brian will grow out of this. You'll get along with him better when he's older."
He's fucking 20 dammit. I 've been waiting for him to grow up for 12 years now, so why hasn't he?
