GIP: New icon & new community

I was up late making icons. I'm halfway through my Nine Inch Nails - Spike songset, and also got to make a few CB icons. Like this one, which is my favorite anime icon I've made so far.


While on the topic....

I started a community. It's called anime_icons. I looked around for a community of that nature, but couldn't find it.

So I started one. Unfortunately, there's only one member at the moment. Me. So c'mon people, step up.

Anyone can join, it's very easy. I'd put up icons of my own but my FTP program is failing and I have to reinstall it and I just don't have the will to do anything else tonight, so I don't really have icons that I can upload to start off. But I have tomorrow morning for that.

Join me. anime_icons needs you.

Does anyone know of a general place or forum where we can advertise/introduce new communities? I'd like to the spread word and get some members.

Now I'm torn. It turns out there is another community already out there for anime icons: animeicons. I'm just annoyed I couldn't find it myself before.

Now that I know it's out there, do I really want to bother with moderating my own?

We only have 5 members so far. It wouldn't really break my heart to stop.

ok, that community I made last night? It's gone now.

I found out out that there already is a community like that, animeicons, so why make another and give myself a headache?

All of our few members seemed to agree (with the exemption of settai as she has not yet given an opinion, but 3/4 is good enough for me), so I deleted the journal. I can recreate it any time in the next month, but I don't expect there will be a need.

Well, on the plus side I've found a new community to join, and I now know how to make one in the future, should I ever want to.
