God I love this movie. Takes things the audience says and just adds them to the script...

You know, the first time I saw PotC I didn't think Captain Jack was sexy at all. What with the hair, and the ungroomed facial hair, and the dirt and soot, and the bad pirate teeth. I thought he was wildly entertaining and "the best pirate I've ever seen"... but not sexy.

This second time around, though, he actually is kinda sexy. Heh.

Third thought on my second viewing of Pirates

It's taken me this long, but on watching this film again, I finally realized who Jack's clandestine, surreptitious, and opportunistic way of thinking reminded me of:

Methos.

Yep. In fact, exactly so. Jack is like a 16th-century!Methos, only slightly more fun to be around and a great deal less in control. But the rest-- exactly so. If they ever met (entirely possible within canon given age, so please please shrift or anyone write me a crossover), then it would be a meeting of like minds and souls.

Whheeeeeeeeee!!!!

All the Commodore's men are shouting "Huzzah!" It's like Master and Commander!

Now I'm going to have to own both movies! Huzzah!

I know this is, like, my 7th post today, but this is what happens when I'm out of school...

Speaking of being out of school, I now have free time. And as such, I'm curious about my fellow LJers.

Now, I am, if you kind folks did not previously know, a resident of San Jose, California, USofA. And, at the moment, am very interested in possibly meeting or hanging out with some of the people on LJ whom I've talked with so much about Buffy and other fannish things. I'm off school now too, so I have more time.

So... anyone who lives in Northern California feel like going to lunch one day? I promise that I have never killed anyone before, nor stolen their credit cards, nor impersonated a member of the clergy. Yet.
