timepiececlock: (dorky kurt is hot)
So about a year ago I watched one episode of FLCL and I hated it. I saw no reason to watch any more, and that wasn't even episode 1.

Clearly I watched the wrong episode, because I watched FLCL tonight on a whim and, what do you know, I actually liked it a lot. I am... ::gasp::... looking forward to it next Saturday night.

Weird, weird, weird.

Off-topic note: I totally kicked but playing Spades tonight. Whipped my parents a good one.

Edit - ::watches InuYasha:: OMG, it's the shmaltzy episode! I loved this one, if only because it brough Teh Kagome Angst back tenfold. Speaking of Kagome, I generally like her English voice actor, except for one little thing: the way she says "Inu Yasha" while in normal conversation mode. Screaming it she does fine. But otherwise, I don't like the way she stresses the syllables. It doesn't match how it goes in my head.

You know, I hope Sasuke doesn't grow up to look like his Evil Brother. Because, Itachi? Not that cute.

My icon doesn't actually represent my mood. I just wanted to use it because I'm a Kyou fan and he doesn't get enough representin' on my little journal.

From an intellectual view, this is one of the better plotted, more interestingly written of the town-of-the-week episodes for Trigun. It has medium-heavy character development where bonds of trust and friendship among the main group are tested, and the main conflict results in all the main characters being on different sides of the end fight. There's a lot of illusion and bluffing going on, and it's hard to tell what's happening. It separates Vash, Meryl, Millie, and Wolfwood, and then brings them back together again at the end, with a stronger bond then before.

And yet, it's one of my least favorite episodes. Go figure.

It does have several juicy Wolfwood moments, though. ::siiiiigh:: Wolfwood. My long-standing anime manwhore. Kyou, Human!InuYasha, Duo, Spike, and Tasuki can be my anime boyfriends, by Wolfwood is my anime manwhore. Eternally. He makes even icky smoking and a 3 o'clock shadow look good.

Next episode, Legato! "My name is... Legato. Legato Bluesummers." ::snicker::

Wolf's Rain #2

Enter Toboe. The really annoying one. I get it though, why the kid who idolized Tsume had to die in the first episode. He was the unlucky sod picked out for having the same hair color and approximate age of a future main character.

Cowboy Bebop fans, welcome [livejournal.com profile] cassandrasalvia to LiveJournal!

She is the author of the wicked and amazing fic Ain't Afraid to Die. I'm so addicted to that thing.

I just renewed my journal account and my 50 extra icons for another two months.

There must be something wrong. I don't need 50 icons. And yet, I need 50 icons.

It's a sick sad world.

I can't remember who made this fantastic icon for me... and I've had [livejournal.com profile] hils ask me what the quote is from.

I know it was someone on my friends list. Step forward, receive praise!

How much do I love the Fruits Basket manga? Lots:

(from vol. 1, page 120, over a game of cards and other issues)

Kyo: Of course, I'll beat you too!
Yuki: Don't you ever get tired of saying that?
Kyo: Beating you is my vocation!! It's my goal in life!
Yuki: It's so unfair that I keep having to take abuse just because you can't meet your goals.
