timepiececlock: (Hatori & Shigure - not adults at all)
Ayame: Don't worry Shigure, even if the whole should turn against you, I will always stand by your side!

Shigure: Aya, you are my strength in adversity!

**they fly toward each other with open arms in front of a background of exagerrated pink sparkles**

Ayame: Je t'aime mon amour! Bon voyage!

Shigure: Avion! Ou est la bain!

translation:

Ayama: I love you my love! Goodbye!
Shigure: Aeroplane! Where is the bath!

How did I not notice the French nonsense before? ::cracking up::

You know why I love Fruits Basket? Even though it has very few fight scenes, no science fiction, only a dash of fantasy, no action/adventure and no swords, shuriken, spaceships, or Yoko Kanno?

Because every time I watch it, it either leaves me smiling like a chocolate addict, laughing like a basketcase, or crying like my pet just died in my lap.

How could I not love a show that does that to me?

EDIT: just finished episode 18. The Yuki Fan Club episode. ::grin:: Very amusing.

It reminded me of the Cowboy Bebop episode "Toys in the Attic" for its deviation from the normal style and its stand-alone wackyness. It also reminds me of the Buffy episode Storytellers because of all the "camera" POV shots, and the constant narration from giggling fangirls.

I still love Number 2's relieved delight at realizing Hana's little brother didn't know her name and thus couldn't curse her.

[livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue, it's going to be a physical pain when I have to send you this DVD back. It will hurt me. Until I manage to get to spend another 25 dollars and buy it myself. Which I probably will.

I could so turn into a Yuki/Hana shipper. Which would have no basis in canon... but be so very easy.
timepiececlock: (Crichton - officer and a gentleman)
And suddenly I realize why I like Major Sheppard's character. He's John Crichton, if John Crichton were the soldier instead of the science geek.

I don't know how I feel about this revelation. Could be good, could be bad. I like Sheppard, sure. But I love Chricton. I adore everything about his character and attitude and humor and personality. I don't know if I want to see a copycat version of him on another show.

Most Naruto fic sucks ass, and I haven't been browsing in ages because of spoilers, but here's what I found before I stopped. Some is great, some is good, most is just allright. Naruto just has not birthed that many quality fanfics, I'm afraid.

Transition Anchor: (THE BEST NARUTO FIC EVER EVER EVER. I would kill to have written this. OhMyGuh the action writing and dramatic tension.)
