Say what you want about Oasis, and I know fans and haters have a lot to say, but I think everyone has to agree that they wrote one of the most interesting and lingering songs you'll hear in 90s music with "Wonderwall."
Even if you hated it, I bet you'd recognize it not three notes in.
I have been listening to it on repeat for over an hour. I could listen to it for twelve, and I'd still never be tired or want to change to something else.
And not just when I'm in a mood to write something, not that kind of repetition of a song-- I could listen to this song for hours every day. Whenever I hear it I have to stop and listen; it's almost physically impossible for me to skip past this song or skim it.
Maybe they sold their souls to the devil for that magic chord (I know you know the one) but whatever it is, it sure as hell works.
