I have an odd relationship with the celebrity of Eminem. Sometimes his songs amuse me in a sort of distant way. Most of the time they don't interest me at all, or they irritate me. The celebrity around him definitely amuses me. But for the most part I hate rap music and Eminem genuinely adds to my feeling on the subject.

But, every once in a while, Eminem does something that makes me kinda like him. It doesn't usually last very long, but he has this magic come-back power that allows him, no matter how much I dislike almost everything about him and his hype, to hold my attention for a minute or a day or so. For a moment in time, his interests and mine coincide and I give him his due. It's like a detente thing.

I watched a streaming version of his new video about Bush-bashing, and hey, we're having one of those moments. Eminem, today I like you. Don't worry, I still hate your music, but today I like you for your impassioned use of your own influence to send a message. Thanks. Your video is cool.

Does anyone know of a way that I could download Dead Like Me directly? In pieces or whole, I don't care.

I don't get Showtime, and I can't access bittorent or Kazaa with my school's firewall. And I saw the 2 short clips on the Showtime DLM site and I wanna know the context of the kissing clip. I need the context.

Pretty please?

I can't wait until November 6th! Every one of my flist peoples should turn to the Cartoon Network late at night on Nov. 6th to watch my favorite show premier in English.

Because if the dub of Fullmetal Alchemist is even half as enjoyable as the original it will have you watching with your eyes melting out your ears and your corpse found later clutching a pillow, dead in front of the tv screen with a parting note that says, "Sorry about the mess, but FMA just made my head implode."

This has put me in quite a tailspin:

I don't blame the FBI for following up on reported threats-- that's what tax money is meant for. However, I think that whoever followed up on this threat could have simply examined her journal pretty thoroughly and come to the conclusion on his/her own that this was not a threatening case at all. As the post was public, they should have had no problem doing so. But mostly I think whatever asshat did the was a spiteful jerk, who was not worried over the fate of our President but rather wanting to hurt Annie. And that's unsettling and frightening and disappointing. Where's the fandom solidarity? All gone, it seems.
