I liked the dub a lot. I loved Al's voice. A bit stiff, but the sound is perfect... innocent and young and still, in many ways, a terminally 10 year old boy.

Ed's is alright for 15, but sounds a little weird for 12. Oh well, I'll get over it. He does do the tortured scream well. And I loved his rapid talking for "short" ranting.

Rose sounded too old when talking at first, but she sounded good when freaking out/screaming.

Cornello was good. The townspeople were good.

And they left in all the blood. Whheee. Blood! Gore! Exploding heads! Huzzah!

..just kidding. There weren't any exploding heads in episode 1.

I love Lust's voice. I can't believe it's the same as Tohru from FB. Wow. ...heh. Now we know what Tohru's bedroom voice sounds like! I feel sorry for Kyo already.

According to [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue, they didn't show the prologue with Al's voiceover. I started it about 2 minutes too late so I didn't know that, but if they don't have it in any future episodes I'm going to be MASSIVELY disappointed. I would rather have that than a music opening. It's so important, even when repetitive. Because it changes with the story.

And what about episode 37? How can we have the wonderful fantastic funnyness of episode 37 without Hawkeye's version of the voiceover to start us off? Evil.

But the rest is good. Besides, the true test won't come till we meet Roy and Hughes. If either of those is messed up--- most ESPECIALLY Roy Mustang, then I will be crushed. Crushed. After Ed and Al, Roy is the most important character in the series, and definitely the most important "adult" figure. They have to pick someone for Roy who knows how to act.
