bronwenstx, I am one episode into Air (like you suggested I watch), and it's really taxing my patience.

The art, mostly. THe scenic animation is pretty, but I hate the character design. It all looks so pre-teen hentai.

But, that being said, the main character hasn't started to bug me yet, so I'll be watching all that I have. I just can't figure out how old the characters are supposed to be. All the girls look about 12 (and so does the mom), whereas whatshisname looks about 17. Not inspiring my inner shipper at all.

The music is good though. And the whole understated psychic powers thing has potential. Now if everyone would suddenly turn out to have ninja superpowers or be involved in a secret rebellion to take over their nazi government that's been corrupted by aliens (Scieszka fans represent!), then it would make it a cool anime.
