timepiececlock: (Grr Arg...Edward)
Princess Tutu episode 2:

Okay, the running back and forth between the water and the bushes and transforming from a duck to a girl to a duck to a girl to a duck again?

Very funny.

EDIT: ::16 minutes in:: Damn, [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue, you were right. I *do* like this anime. It's so weird and funny. I will never doubt you again (except that you like the Saiyuki anime, ugh, but I forgive you). More episodes, please!

I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face.

Princess Tutu, unfortunate though the title may be, is making me one happy little surrealist. I'm now through episode 5. Even when it's eerie and slightly disturbing, I can't help but smile at this anime.

Huh. Episode 6 was interesting too.

Just watched episode 15 of FMA in English dub. Dude, all the military character scenes were BETTER in the dub than in the Japanese. Which is bizarre.

But I loved these lines...

Hawkeye, while kicking Mustang down: "Stubborn man!"
Mustang: "That's no way to get promoted, Hawkeye."

That was funny in the original, but even funnier and more kickass here.

Havok: "The classic sewer escape."
Mustang: "Don't follow him."
Havok: "Dammit, I was about to jump in."

I was neutral on Havok's VA before, but now I totally love him.

And these parts made me way sad:

Al: "We're all we've got, remember! We're all we've got!"

Al: "But we're alive, right?"
Ed: "Yeah, we are that, Al."

The scene of Alphonse spazzing on Edward was funny too. Not quite the same as the Japanese, but very good.

And I love the voice of the character not yet named. Was he really Yuki of FB and Trunks from DBZ? Sounds totally different. But cool.
