Stephen Colbert tonight.
May. 11th, 2006 12:08 amI really liked Stephen Colbert's "Better Know A District" tonight.
While I love Colbert in a general comedian sense, I am usually only so/so on his show, and only watch it occasionally, or for bits like "The Word." Tonight he really nailed the district interview, however. The train of thought from fuel-efficient energy methods to an invocation of Godwin's Law was awesome, and the guy he was interviewing managed to be the perfect sort of guest for the "District" serials: he was just removed and baffled enough to be funny and easily mocked, but at the same time managed to retain his essential dignity and not look like an idiot. He did look like someone who makes a lot of unintentionally homoerotic puns, but that's better than looking like an idiot.
