timepiececlock: (Hughes - hope is a good thing)
I love it when fanfic writers I've put on AuthorAlert from one fandom start writing in another fandom I'm part of.

For example, Victoria Hughes did some nice angsty Fullmetal Alchemist fics a while back. And now she's starting an A:TLA season 3 chapterfic. That's damn cool; I'll have to read it later.

Jumping fandoms, I thought I had read all the decent Kakashi/Sakura fic in the Naruto section of the pit, excluding the latest chapter of Silvershine's fic which I'm saving for later enjoyment. But anyway, much to my delight I found one more: Fourteen Dates, by sakura_haru. Unfortunately I think that really was the last one, and now I have nothing to read again.

'Nother thing: I created a secondary FF.net account: Rashka the Demon. This name is taken verbatim from Kipling's The Jungle Book, of which Rashaka is partially drawn as well. I could have thought of a totally new name, but what the hell I'm lazy. Anyway, I've posted the first 4 chapters of my fic "Lucid" up there, in the hopes that if it gets reported, I won't get my entire Rashaka account erased.

from [livejournal.com profile] donna_c_punk:

On the twelfth day of Christmas, rashaka sent to me...
Twelve dragons drumming
Eleven btvs piping
Ten books a-leaping
Nine gargoyles dancing
Eight musicals a-milking
Seven boys a-writing
Six icons a-sailing
Five age-e-e-ent sands
Four tweeny witches
Three dinosaur comics
Two maes hughes
...and an anime in a poetry.
Get your own Twelve Days:

I like the seven boys-a-writing. And the twelve dragons; I'll take those. And TWO Maes Hughes? That's double the awesome.

Everyone is watching Scrubs these days, even T-Rex! It is a pretty funny show, and I agree, much funnier than Will & Grace. I have to say, I think T-Rex's "character" has definite similarities to J.D.; they'd probably get along well.

I've been watching the nightly reruns on the local public channel 9, which is currently in the early-middle of season 4. Just over a week ago I was waiting in line at a sandwhich cafe, and these three guys near me were talking. This was about the time I had just finished marathon-downloading season 3. [paraphrased, as my memory is not perfect.]

Guy 1: "Lately all I've been doing is watching Scrubs all the time! Scrubs, Scrubs, Scrubs!"

Me, in my head: "Oh my god me too! It's EVERYWHERE!"
