Movie: Super Troopers
Dec. 27th, 2006 02:10 amMy brother just made me watch Super Troopers.
Super Troopers is the kind of silly, boyish movie that should be embarassing, stupid, and wince-worthy, but somehow it managed to make me laugh about 40 times without being overly embarassing or making me wince. It was pretty silly, but silly in an affectionately amusing and inoffensive way. I guess there were some things in there that could have been pretty offensive, but even those didn't really offend me so much as make me crack a smile. The cop-pulling-you-over jokes were by far the best thing in the movie. It was certainly juvenile, but it's easily the most viewer-friendly juvenile humor I've seen in a movie in a long time. I liked it, and I'd easily watch it again.
But a warning: if you don't like the opening scene, you're probably not going to like the rest of the movie.

(I just have to say... the syrup thing? YUCK-Y. I did wince at that, I admit.)
