May. 15th, 2003 04:29 pmToday I participated in a debate on single motherhood and adoption by homosexual couples, in my Women's Studies class.
I made good points. Really good, and logical, and concise, and clear. So much that I only got one question from the audience, whereas all the other presenters got anywhere from 4-7 questions average. I had them in wrapt attention. Razzle dazzle.
A few minutes later the teacher announced winners from each team, and I didn't win. The teacher said she'd been hoping for more passion and belief on the sunject from all the debators. The girl who won for my team had yelled.
That's passion for you. Or maybe I'm just a little bitter.
I didn't even know there were going to be winners. But being told there were, it rankles just a bit that I didn't.
I like to win. ::pout::
