Angel+Darla

Can Anyone point me to some good Angel/Darla icons? Possibly OTP-ish, but any with that theme will work.

Because I've come to a decicision, see. This upcoming year, I won't have Buffy to watch on Tuesdays. My sole access to Jossverse will come in the form of Angel, and I won't be half-assed about it this time. I'm going to have to see every single episode, as appointment TV.

For this, I feel like I should stop and think about my pairings preferences.

They are:

Angel/Darla
Welsey/Lilah
Spike/Buffy
Gwen/Gunn

Now, 3 out of 4 of those ships are technically "dead" at the moment. But that's not stopped anyone in Jossverse, and I liked Darla way better than Cordelia's hair cut and psuedo-incest thing last season.

Plus, the Angel/Darla thing always made much more sense to me than Angel/Buffy. It seemed... more mature: darker, richer, dirtier and more layered. Since those are the things I tend to look for in relationships in Buffyverse (hense the S/B), I like it. The same for Wes/Lilah (Fred is _so_ not dark enough for him.) So that's my Angel OneTruePairing.

I know a lot of you are waiting for Spike/Angel hints. I think seeing some flashbacks with subversive hinting would do me just fine, even better tahn fine if there's shirtlessness, but I can't imagine them together now because that strays too much from my eternal OTP of Spike/Buffy.

Can we bring Lilah back from the dead for real? Cause I want her to have a redemption story too. And Darla. And more Gwen, because they need more strong women on the show.

So, tell me where to find the Angel/Darla icons!

I've never really thought about Angel/Darla too much. But they have had a lot of good moments on screen and I can definitely see your point. And yes, Angel/Darla much better than Angel/Buffy. More interesting. I liked Angel/Cordy, but last season really put a stake in it. I think it's very possibly dust for good.
Especially since Charisma Carpenter isn't going to be a regular. I do hope they bring Darla back.

Very much in agreement with you there. I NEVER will like Wesley/Fred. In fact, she just gets on my nerves and I don't understand what Gunn & Wesley are thinking. I liked her okay at first, but she's so damn whiney and boring now! I LOVE Wesley/Lilah, and I want her to have a redemption story as well. That could be a new obsession for me. :)

Although, I also like Wesley/Faith a lot. But, that's never going to happen. Besides, if it could...it would be too hard to decide which pairing I liked better for cannon. Both are fun for fanfic.

I'll let you know if I see any Angel/Darla icons.

I like Angel/Darla as well. Spike and Buffy has and always will be my number one ship, but I agree with all your other pairings as well. Angel/Darla is a thousand times more interesting than Angel/Cordy and especially Cordy/Connor (ewww). I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Gunn/Gwen, as well.

I like Wesley/Faith a lot also. I could accept Faith with pleasure, especially since she's still alive and Lilah's out of reach. Plus, I think Lilah would appreciate Faith as her replacement; way more respectable a follow-up to her reputation than Fred.

I also really liked Connor/Faith, for those three short episodes when they interacted. He was so cute with his little crush.

I'll let you know if I see any Angel/Darla icons.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Gunn/Gwen, as well.

I know. Gunn looked good with her, and she didn't take him for granted. But then, Gwen's so cool I'd accept her with Angel too, in a pinch. Because that was hot also.

Absolutely! Faith is much more worthy than whiney Fred. I even got the feeling Lilah kinda liked Faith in their past limited interactions, even if Faith did freak her out a bit at the time. I think if Lilah couldn't be with Wes, and wanted to choose who he'd be with it'd be Faith out of everyone.

And Connor/Faith was sweet. I think one of the first times I had gotten into Connor's character for a while last season was the beginning of the Faith-crush.

No problem about the icons...I'm bound to come across some sooner or later, being the icon whore that I am. I have a library of them on my computer already. It's really a sad addiction. ;-)

I have a theory that for Angel, Buffy was the "good" Darla, the one he could justify being with after he got his soul. Look at the way he reacted when he learned Darla was back in AtS S2.

Love Wes/Lilah, because you could actually redeem Lilah and she'd still have so much of what we love about her...just be less evil. (Of course, she's a lawyer, so that might not be possible.)

As for Spike/Angel, I think they're going to keep dropping hints, but never be explicit.

Probably. I don't think she can be redeemed anyway; I imagine that as a dead person whose sould belongs to W&H, she's kind of stuck where she is. But I want Lilah/Wesley...
