I'm applying to be an office aide/intern at two of the local state Senators' offices in San Jose, and my Poli-Sci teacher just wrote me a fabulous letter of rec. He also used to be a Deputy Chief of San Jose Police, so I was all thrilled and stuff when he said he'd write me a letter (I originally asked if I could just mention that he was my professor in my application.) Nice older man, pleasant and smart.

One more final to go before Fall quarter and ::shudder:: transfer applications.

Yesterday the kookiest thing happened. We're talking major kismet. First off, I had straightened my hair (which I rarely do in summer because whoa to hot electrical things near my head in 95*+ weather) and was wearing sexy black pants and a sexy red top. I was in "lookin good" mood. It helped that when I straightened my hair it goes down to my waist and gives it a distinctly softer quality. But that's not the kismet thing. See, on Tuesday I'd been walking out of class with the Boy I currently like--crush, to be honest-- and we got into a brief discussion about where we park, respectively. And it turns out there was a student parking lot right next to our class, where he'd parked. I'd never gone far enough down the road to see it before.

So yesterday I park in that parking lot, so I won't have to walk all the way across campus from my ending class. Fast forward to 7:30, when we're all leaving. Boy and I are walking and chatting, when we realizxe that-- WHOOO!!! We were parked RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER! And we'd arrived at separate times and never seen each others' cars before. How's that for a coincidence. But it gets better.

I say jokingly, "Well, at least from the side you parked on you can't see the gaping wound I made on the front of my car."

He trots around to my side, looks at my severely concave left front panel, and crows "I got you beat! Mine's bigger!"

So I go around my car, and, sure enough, on the front left panel of his truck there is a identical circular dent, though a few inches wider in diameter.

We spent a few wonderful minutes comparing stories where our respective dent poles were located in town; mine being in Japantown, downtown San Jose, and his in the parking garage's 3rd level, of some auditorium in Cupertino, I think.

He's very charming. I'm feeling all kismet-y.

Later, folks! One more test.
