Wow. That's a heck of a dream you had there. And you're right, that's not the way arsenic works. If Draco had been slipping it into Lucius's tea gradually, Lucius would have eventually built up a tolerance to it, and even a dependence. Had he been taken away to jail, he would have died soon after, because by not being able to get the dose of arsenic needed to maintain the dependence, the arsenic stored in his body already would have killed him. Sort of the same principle as an opium-eater.
And I have now proved I read way too many crime novels and watch way too many true crime stories on the telly.
