I'm typing this at the office where I'm interning. I like this job. I get to format the letters that we write back to the constiuents that send us a letter or email. It's the Senator's policy to always respond via snail mail, as it is more formal than e-mail. One of the hot topics people are writing in about is Assembly Bill 205, about the rights of domestic partners (homosexual couples and heterosexuals over the age of 60 who are not married.)

Turns out there's all these cool websites we use for research. Check them out:

http://www.rtumble.com/ : "A daily snapshot of California public policy and politics." A news site, but a fun and accurate and current one.

http://www.sen.ca.gov/ : if you're curious about any bill in the California Senate or Assembly, just click on the legislation link. You'll find out what the bill is, who wrote it, and where it currently stands in the legislative process. Site also has links to all State legislators.

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/ : a site where you can look up anything about California law. Want to know if it's legal to murder your cheating lover as long as you do it on a public holiday? Just scroll to the bottom, and explore.

Kidding about the murder thing. I'm sure that's not a law.
