Even if I don't hold with Christianity, I can appreciate any woman who takes such a misogynistic religion and uses the dogma to make it her own.

A bit like Muslims claiming to be Islam isn't, by its very nature, oppressive, I have to say Christianity isn't an especially misogynistic religion-- the system, yes, but not what's beneath-- Jesus's actions towards thim that never spoke of anything but love and respect, chosing women to follow him, having women be the first ones to see him again etc.--, and what's written (well, mostly-- Paul is just a creep in that regard).
