timepiececlockWanted to mention -- I watched Whalerider last night. Fabulous, fantastic, utterly wonderful and beautiful movie. At the top of my reccomendation lists for this year for emotionally moving and angsty but uplifting coming-of-age films. In fact, one of the best films I've ever seen of that genre, right up there between Dead Poet Society and The Iron Giant.
The young lead actress was unbelievable. Also, I got a out of listening to a whole film of Maori/New Zealand accents in English.
