I like this. I'm fascinated by the fact that Xander, at the beginning, chose to look the other way about Anya's former demonhood, and all along, it wasn't a source of issues for him, but something he even joked about. The others in the SG have all had their own demony relationships -- Willow with Oz, Buffy with Angel. So it's interesting that they've never been able to extend their openness all the way to Spike. As they see the selflessness of Anya's actions and move to be more forgiving, I wonder if they can do that for Spike? I wonder if they'll see the parallels?

I also like your points about FFL and how this ep compares with it. Selfless might not be one I watched obsessively like I do FFL, but... it's comparitively meaningful. Nice job!
