In my Christmas stocking was a surprisingly heft bage of candied pistachios. I love pistochios, and generally like candied nuts. Because they're nuts, only with candy! Seems pretty good. Unfortunately, in this case the combination is a bit too overpowering. I think because pistochios have a very strong, definite flavor and the coating flavor they chose just interferes with the pistochio flavor, instead of complimenting it.

If I work it right with my tongue, I can get all the candy coating to fall off in flakes and leave the nice pistochio center ripe and waiting. Mmmmm.
