Date: 2004-03-02 07:23 pm (UTC)A few months ago I was in the passenger seat of the car talking to my mom, and I asked her if she thought the lines of the crop fields looked like run rays as you passed them. She said yep. I then asked her if she liked to concentrate on one roadside tree as it slowly approached and watch it whisk by and disappear really fast. She said yes. Then she asked me if I jumped over the shadows on the road, and I said "uh...yeah, I do."
It was kind of one of those moments when you realize how much alike a parent you are. I had never mentioned that weird thought passtime to anyone, or had anyone mention it to me, but I automatically knew exactly what she was talking about, and had to agree that I did.
It's nice to know we're not alone! I'm curious to see how many other people fill out the poll. I didn't want to explain it too much, because I figured anyone who did it would get it. And you did-- it's a lot like jumping fences, actually. Though I had never used that analogy myself. I'm a "must jump over the blackwater lava" person. :g:

Or I try and do in time with the music
Never done that. But I do rock back and forth on my breaks to music when I'm at a stop light.
