::Finally watches AtS episode Damage::

Andrew: "What does it taste like, blood?"
Spike: "Metallic. Ever taste a penny? ..... smells like that."

...

Andrew: "What is it?"
Spike: "Blood. Smells different. Stronger."
Andrew: "Like nickels?"

I loved that interaction so much. The way Andrew's face lights up when he says "nickels"...so hilarious!

Oh yes. Goddard's episode made me happy. It was so good to finally see the Spike I like best. The episodes since then have mostly been at least shading toward that Spike. I wish they had written Spike that way all season.

I loved this episode. Although it destroyed my longstanding theory that any body part cut off a vampire automatically turned to dust, it was otherwise a very cool episode.

Goddard did it! Ah, my hero! That makes me happy. And it was a very good episode all around... Spike was looing good for once. And I was cracking up about Andrew. His hair!! And his long and mushy reunion with Spike. I was so proud of Spike for just standing there and enduring it without too much protest. That was nice of him, very compassionate, and something he wouldn't have done before the soul.

Although, I've watched You're Welcome now, too, and I have to say I'm getting a little sick of the constant little tricks to supposedly make you think Spike is evil. Like biting Cordelia. This has happened like 8 times on Angel already this season and it's getting old as a gimmick. We get it already; he's not evil. ::sigh:: We got it last season, stupidheads.

I love it, because I can totally follow that train of those as stupid as it is. That because the smell is stronger it smells like coins worth more. Regardless of the obvious fact that nickels are totally different metal and wouldn't smell the same at all. This is Andrew logic.

I loved Andrew's face-off with Angel at the end. I was proud of Andrew with this episode; he's still a fop and mostly idiotic, but his heart's firmly in the right place and he knows what side he stands for... in stark contrast to Angel, who for all the cars and the guns and the power, doesn't really know where his heart is or whose side he's on. I liked "She's one of ours." Finally the Slayers are in control of their own group, and not being controlled. It's about the Slayers, not the watchers.
