Naruto can so kick everyone's asses. I think somewhere, or I just made the assumption
It's almost like the question is not
"Can Naruto beat this guy?"
but
"How many people are gonna die and how many buildings are going to get blown up before Naruto gets there and kicks his ass?"
or
"Will this guy be lucky enough or smart enough to knock Naruto unconscious before he gets a chance to start fighting and thus kicks his ass?"
My favorite Naruto fight is still the one with Haku. Boy that was a long one, but it had so many layers-- Sasuke's Sharingan power waking up, the personal interactions betweewn Naruto and Sasuke, Naruto's power waking up... it was all cool and so much happened in that fight that changed a lot of things later.
Speaking of which, a random comment but isn't the continuity on this show fabulous? Like Sasuke calling Naruto a scaredy-cat in Wave Country and then 20+ episodes later (nearly a full season) Naruto calls Sasuke a scaredy-cat.
I think Kabuto's my favorite villain so far, even though he's not in this episode. He's got plans! Plans for Naruto and Sasuke and himself, all twisted up in Orochimaru's plans. I like the bad guys who are more self-serving than evil and who totally play everyone against each other. They're the most interesting.
Plus he's cute and I have this secret desire to write angry slash fic with him and Kakashi. The only problem is that I can't imagine a situation when either of them would get close enough to have something even resembling hot angry sex without one of them taking such a useful opportunity to kill the other.
